Sourcing Consultant Lead

PURPOSE/SCOPE Identify and leverage corporate purchasing power with a concentration in Marketing related requirements. Partner with internal business units to improve quality of procurements. Engage customers in a managed selection process. Manage/facilitate contracting and negotiation process to ensure contract protection. Provide proactive strategic sourcing support to business units to drive cost reduction and operational efficiencies. Lead and manage team members. KEY ATTRIBUTES 1. Individual must possess the ability to effectively engage at all levels of the organization. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develop/maintain relationship with internal Marketing Services organizations. 2. Guide Marketing sourcing projects within overall acquisition strategy. 3. Utilize strategic sourcing methodologies and technologies in identifying opportunities, developing RFP s, managing sourcing selection process and negotiating/developing contracts. 4. Proactively identify continuous improvement options to enhance customers competitive advantage, through analysis of their purchase base, understanding of their internal processes, and market research of best practices. 5. Participate in project management exercises, program development efforts, process enhancement initiatives, and compliance management efforts intended to facilitate achievement of objectives. 6. Support SS&P systems configuration enhancement, workflow design, data base accuracy, and system expansion efforts intended to maximize the return of the software functionality on a company wide basis. 7. Interface with Legal Team on process enhancement and business unit support, 8. Provide SS&P technology and process training to Support Groups, customers and Business Unit system users across RFG. 9. Proactively drive process, support and leverage integration efforts with RFC. 10. Present a professional image consistent with role as business process consultant. 11. Manage, mentor, and guide sourcing teams to support both professional growth of direct reports, and achievement of functional objectives.Job Requirements
KNOWLEDGE 1. Must have broad working knowledge of best procurement practices and trends. 2. Must have strong knowledge product/services for supporting internal and external groups. 3. Must have above average knowledge of contracts and negotiation tactics. 4. Must have an understanding and commitment to the continuous business improvement process. 5. Must have an understanding of the Business needs and requirements for procured goods and services JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. College degree, business - related field, required. 2. MBA/JD and appropriate professional affiliations/certifications strongly preferred. 3. Minimum 5-7 years of Sourcing, bidding, negotiating contracts and/or direct work experience in related field 4. 1-3 years supervisory / leading project teams experience desirable. 5. Broad sourcing experience in financial services industry. SKILLS 1. Individual must be capable of working closely with internal customers, business units, support partners and suppliers must be a team leader/player. 2. Individual must have excellent communication skills. 3. Individual should be able to effectively lead and coach a team of (3) or more employees. 4. Individual must be an effective planner and organizer. 5. Individual must have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively. 6. Individual should have the ability to negotiate effectively with customers, business units and suppliers. 7. Individual must have the analytical ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans. 8. Individual must possess strong financial skills and knowledge of business law.
