Full Job Title: Sensor Analyst - Level 2 - CCM Skills Management Title Systems EngineeringJob Level: EXEMPTBusiness Component: Integrated Defense Systems (IDS)Job Description: The desired individual will work on the Missile Defense National Team and be responsible for executing analysis tasks associated with defining current and future capability and performing integration of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). This position performs analysis for projects intended to quantify BMDS level sensor performance with and without countermeasures and to assess the potential effectiveness of various sensor system concepts in the presence of countermeasures. An additional responsibility will include conducting technical architecture analyses of current and projected system level sensor capabilities with emphasis on the impact of countermeasures on system performance. The desired candidate will also perform detailed analysis of missile defense sensor elements and components and integrates the results into higher level system-of-system (SoS) analyses. Competencies REQUIRED: Candidate should have a strong technical background in sensor technology and experience with the development of analytical tools. Current experience should include numerical modeling of complex systems. DESIRED: A candidate with a background in sensor technology (particularly RADAR and Infrared (IR) sensors) is highly desired as well as possessing strong computer skills and familiarity with MATLAB. Experience designing, evaluating, and managing analysis tasks, experience or working knowledge of ballistic missile defense sensors and countermeasures, experience with physics of low earth orbits and with complex probability calculations are a definite plus.
