Senior Teller in Surf City, CA! Must Have Prior Experiance!

Position Summary:Performs a wide variety of complex duties related to the handling of member accounts. Assist the Operations Training Specialist in training new employees in proper procedures and handles difficult operational questions from lower level tellers. Handles and adjusts complex member complaints, transactions and errors. This position promotes and maintains effective relationships with existing and prospective members. This position is expected to provide financial guidance when opening or maintaining existing accounts. This candidate represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner, maintains confidentiality of member information, pays meticulous attention to detail, demonstrates sound judgment and promotes credit union products and services to achieve established goals. Keeps abreast of all changes regarding state and federal laws and regulations, and the policies and procedures of the credit union as they pertain to operations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:1.Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments.2.Assist members with various forms (i.e. payroll, ACH, stop payment, wire transfer, etc.)
3.Sell Travelers Cheques, Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, and redeems U.S. Savings Bonds.
4.Balance cash drawer daily.
5.Actively participate in all promotions.
6.Assist with balancing ATM.7.Process Visa and LOC advances.
8.Research problems.
9.Generate letters and statement copies.
10.Open Certificate of Deposits.
11.Waive fees in accordance with authorization guidelines.
12.Process address changes.
13.Cross-sell credit union products and services.
14.Process on-us/corporate checks for non-members.
15.Establish membership: opens savings, checking, money market and Trust Accounts. 16.ATM / EZ Access cards: issue ATM temporary cards, re-pin cards, and order cards.
17.Check orders: generate temporary checks, order checks on line and order copies of checks through Wave.
18.Provide assistance and training to tellers.
19.Provide back up support for Supervisor duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:1.Proficiency in the operations of a PC and the capability to work efficiently in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
2.Complete understanding of credit union products and services.
3.2-5 year’s experience as a teller demonstrating sound judgment in teller practices.
4.High School Diploma or GED Required.
5.Bi-Lingual preferred.Special Job Requirements:1.Must have cash handling experience.
2.Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
3.Must have good eyesight for the operation of a personal computer.
4.Must be able to communicate effectively with members, management and co-workers.
5.Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. (coin)
6.Requires moderate bending and stooping.
7.Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
