As the Senior Reporting Analyst you will play a key role within the ResCap Performance Reporting group, providing senior management with the reporting package utilized in their monthly segment reviews.Your primary responsibility will be to complete the Monthly Performance Reviews for consolidated ResCap and the underlining segments. The Monthly Performance Review is a reporting package that includes financial and non-financial data, drivers and metrics, and analysis in the form of commentary. This report will be distributed to the senior management of ResCap and its Segments.Essential Accountabilities:Coordinate the collection of key reporting data from multiple sources, including business units and segments, Corporate Service Groups, Parent Company, and other ResCap finance functions.
Coordinate CEO’s quarterly scorecard process that assesses performance of business units and segments relative to key metrics.
Validate consolidated results for financial and non-financial data reported in the CEO’s Monthly Performance Review meetings.Create and analyze graphs and charts to be utilized in segment reporting.Be pro-active in developing and maintaining processes to make the reporting process more efficient and timely, and at the same time meeting or exceeding management expectation.Provide backup to the fully allocated financial statements and metrics of the business segments and business units, in compliance with the methodology established by the CFO office.
Assist with the process of gathering and reporting key enterprise (non-financial) data elements for management reporting, e.g. business profit and loss drivers, business metrics, and Headcount/Full Time Equivalent Staff.
Develop automated and ad-hoc queries into financial databases, including general ledger, Essbase and planning systems.
Assist with the review and maintenance of selected managerial allocations, including income taxes, funds transfer pricing and bonus allocations.
Requirements:4 year undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or general managementMBA preferred
6-10 years in accounting or finance, performing increasingly complex analyses.6-10 years experience with forecasting, budgeting and management reporting processes and controls.Working knowledge of mortgage banking processesExcellent analytical and mathematics skillsKnowledge of accounting and financial statement analysisStrong PC spreadsheet skills (Excel) and database skills (Access)Strong reporting skills (Essbase Retrieve)Strong written and oral communication skillsStrong customer service orientationOrganized, thorough and persistent.Independent and self-motivated.Flexible/dependable.Innovative and creative problem solving.Issue identification skills.Demonstrated Team Player.Rewards:
