Senior Project Manager

Our client is a leading Financial services firm in the Philadelphia area.
Position Title: Project Manager Horsham, PA
Position Duties:
As Senior Project Manager you will:
-Manage mission critical projects for internal business customers including new product introduction, new partnership integration, and the implementation of new capabilities with the ultimate goal of delivering projects on-time, within budget, and with minimal adverse impact to the organization. -Promote continued process improvement and mentor less-experienced team members.
The project will be cross functional:
Infrastructure
Customer Management
Collections
Acquistions
Various Programs (ie. Awards)
Specific Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage medium to large cross-functional efforts according to the Project Office Standard Operating Procedures. -Present alternatives and best approach for business solutions. Formulate the appropriate cross-functional team and effectively develop and manage project plans/schedules. -Maintain, organize, and document all cross-functional business objectives and functional requirements. -Document requirements from a customer experience using graphical and descriptive techniques. -Produce documentation that supports and/or facilitates business requirements, project plans and task lists. -Manage the change control process of requirements throughout the duration of the project. -Document new and/or existing processes. Nominate process improvement ideas for the project office based on experiences and observations. -Champion new ideas and follow through to completion.
Decision Management and Scoping:
-Ensure business owners and sponsors understand the process for implementing new projects.
-Provide subject matter advice to assist project owners in the project submission process. -Ensure all cross-functional teams are given the opportunity to highlight specific deliverables, risks and dependencies that are associated with new concepts to assess level of effort and timeline. -Develop test plans, coordinate testing resources, and ensure testing is executed according to the testing standard operating procedures. -Manage implementation and post-implementation project evaluations and incorporate learning into future projects.
-provide regular status communications to project sponsors and offer remedial advice for projects not proceeding according to plan.

Required Skills:
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
-5-7 years of business / project management experience; experience managing cross-functional projects with a business focus.
-Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project and Visio is required.
-CAPM or PMP certification is preferred.
-Ability to understand business needs and translate into project plans. -Successful candidate will possess superior issue resolution skills related to both process and people. -Must have the ability to effectively manage teams and communicate to senior level management. -Must be extremely detailed oriented, organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills. -Must be able to function under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
