The proposed merger with Golden West Financial Corporation (NYSE: GDW), parent of World Savings Bank, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2006, pending shareholder and regulatory approval. With this proposed merger, Wachovia would strengthen its position in California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey and New York, and enter attractive metropolitan areas in five additional states: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas and Nevada. The combined company would serve banking customers through 3,400 offices in 21 states and Washington, D.C. In addition, Wachovia would gain mortgage lending operations under the World Savings Bank name in 39 states.
Senior Operations Specialist
In this position, you will be responsible for processing time critical voluntary offer instructions for tenders, puts, expiring rights, warrants and conversion offers.
You will handle more complex voluntary offers and assist with the clearance of involved/dated suspense balances. In addition, you will be responsible for the accuracy of voluntary offer folders to ensure all instructions were processed accurately and timely in order to eliminate aged receivables and credits in departmental suspense accounts. You will also actively work to research and clear complex or dated suspense outages to minimize firm suspense balances. Additionally, you will analyze and review complex voluntary offering to determine the appropriate action for processing and review completed voluntary offer folders to ensure all instructions were processed.

REQUIREMENTS
One plus years’ brokerage operations experience or other financial or accounting related work is necessary. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business management and broad knowledge of cashiering, accounting or financial industry are required. Must be detail-oriented and have extremely strong research and analytical skills.
