The Position
The Senior Investment and Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for
developing clients' investment strategies by modeling asset
allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection
recommendations using a variety of analytical tools. This role calls
for an experienced analyst with strong quantitative skills. Key
activities include:
Perform in-depth analysis on individual investment
products, strategies, and portfolios across asset classes, including
traditional and alternative.
Perform modeling and statistical analysis for various
investment and wealth management scenarios.
Support Relationship Managers and Investment Specialists in
the development of objective, actionable investment solutions and
proposals for clients and prospects.
Participate in the development and introduction of new
analytical tools and techniques firm-wide.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of investment and / or portfolio analysis
experience.
MBA or Masters required, CFA preferred
Knowledge of asset allocation, modern portfolio theory, and
manager analysis.
Strong understanding of portfolio construction, risk
management issues, and quantitative methods of analysis.
Knowledge of a wide range of asset classes, financial
instruments, and strategies.
Demonstrated experience with financial modeling (e.g.
optimization, Monte-Carlo simulation, V@R) and investment tools (e.g.
Zephyr, FactSet, Barra, @-Risk, Yield Book, Ibboston Encorr, etc).
Effective communication skills (verbal / written /
presentation).
Programming skills a plus (e.g. MatLab, VBA, SQL, Access,
C++, S+, etc.)
Previous investment experience at a leading wealth
management firm with high and ultra-high net worth individuals
desirable.
Series 7, 63 licenses a plus.
