Senior Financial Systems Analyst

This position will be responsible for the system administration of Hyperion Planning, Reports and Essbase including, but not limited to, maintenance, timely preparation of financial/managerial reports, routine data upload including forecast submissions, calculation script updates, data copy among various databases, security/filter updates, user support. This position will also involve the research of advanced features/functions and provide training to all current and new users of the current applications.
Support data processing and reporting activities in a dynamic environment within our Finance Department. Support and maintain accounting and budgeting systems (Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Reports, EssBase, and PeopleSoft). Create and maintain standardized and ad hoc financial reports in Hyperion Reports, EssBase, and nVision (PeopleSoft’s report writer). Experience in PeopleSoft’s report writer is a plus but not necessary. Remain current in systems through self-study, attendance at seminars and/or formal classroom training. Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events. Complete other related duties as assigned in support of the Company’s Diversity programs.
Meet with end-users to discuss projects/ad-hoc requests requiring extraction or manipulation of data stored in Hyperion or PeopleSoft; clarify and confirm specifications. Develop an understanding of client business needs and strategic objectives; offer suggestions or alternatives to facilitate obtaining data in most expedient time frame. Provide user support as necessary (ie, login issues, security access, data issues, requests for changes). Perform reconciliations to ensure all financial accounting systems are in sync. Assist with Hyperion development projects.

job Requirements



Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience

Minimum of one to two years proven accounting and finance and/or business systems experience, or equivalent

Proficiency in Microsoft software packages, i.e. Excel and Word

Experience as a user or administrator of Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Reports, or PeopleSoft

Ability to work well independently and with all levels of management

Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, project coordination and verbal and written communication skills
