Senior Financial Applications Administrator

* Provide support to FDC Comshare; coordinate and track incoming transmissions, post input files, provide first level troubleshooting and ensure files are processed in a timely manner. Adherence to corporate closing deadlines.
* Interpret needs and system requirements of users, making recommendations of better alternatives in meeting business requirements
* Provide first & second-line (backup support for other team members) support to the business and manage the resolution of problems relating to financial applications (M&D and Axs-One).
* Develop, conduct and document functionality testing for new system and enhancements. This will include identification of problems and recommendations on how to solve the problems
* Develop, test, maintain, and implement new or enhanced system functions
* Ensure Sarbanes Oxley (SEC 404) financial systems controls are implemented and evidenced.
REQUIREMENTS
* Strong demonstrable experience with Financial applications, Microsoft office suite and project management methodology
* Effective oral and written communication skills are essential
* Experience in maintaining Finance & Accounting systems applications, knowledge to support and enhance process
* Knowledge of the following would be a plus FDC Comshare (Financial Consolidation), Axs-One, Hyperion and Microsoft Access
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, or Computer science
* 5-10 years experience within a Finance & Accounting environment
* At least 5 years experience in application design, implementation and support is required
