Responsible for more complex finance activities involving implementation of strategic plans, profitability analysis, forecasting and financial reporting for a business unit or associate area. Supports achievement of business goals by working on more complex activities or projects with others within the unit and with partners. Leads projects and coordinates resources. May provide supervision to a small staff. Can manage partner relationships.

 

This position reports to a VP/Finance Business Manager  in US Card Finance. The position's primary purpose is to develop the annual and monthly expense plans & forecasts and manage expense risks and opportunities to ensure earnings targets are met. The position coordinates all monthly close and reporting processes for the Group Management sub-sector. This position is the primary contact for the directors and managers within Group Management for answers to financial questions. REQUIREMENTS


Required:Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business concentration with related technical job knowledge of developing budgets & forecasts, accruals, reconciling, financial reporting, and financial analysis Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, ) Ability to complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines and ensure that work is accurate Accuracy and attention to detail is required Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interface with various management levels Ability to easily build rapport broadly within the company

Desired: Strong working knowledge of budgeting tools (e.g. Insight, Essbase) and Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
