Senior Credit Policy/Risk Analyst

I. Summary of Position Provides support for large and/or complex credit policy, risk and/or marketing projects, or risk technology platforms support requiring advanced analytical, quantitative and technical skills. Develops and recommends credit-related policies as appropriate.
II.Principal Accountabilities
1.Conduct complex research projects and/or statistical models in account management programs.
2.Monitor and evaluate performance of credit support systems utilizing internal or external scoring, management software packages or programs to aid in managing portfolio management.
3.Design and write mainframe and PC technical programs (SAS) for statistical analysis of portfolio and/or Credit Bureau performance and monitoring.
4.Conduct studies of customer groups and product types and develop statistical/financial models for projections (i.e. loss forecasts, capacity planning).
5.Evaluate, implement and monitor internal and external credit scoring models using both traditional and other advanced predictive technologies. May use segmentation and optimization tools in strategy development.
6.May manage projects from initiation to implementation, for account management programs.
7.May be responsible for ensuring that account management systems are operating efficiently. May code, test, program and implement new policy changes for account management systems.
8.May train, provide direction to and review the work of less experienced analysts and/or special project teams, as necessary.
9.Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.
10. Development, auditing, implementation and financial analysis of Credit line increase and decrease strategies.
11. Create thorough summary presentation decks that will be presented to upper management on a regular basis.

job Requirements


Knowledge, Skills & BehaviorsThis position requires an individual with:1.Three years proven statistical analysis and/or MIS experience, or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.2.Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, related field or equivalent experience; Masters degree preferred.3.Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, project management and verbal and written communication skills. Eager learner and team leader.4.Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and/or software packages. Strong programming skills to include knowledge of statistical programs (e.g. SAS, SPSS, Excel, Word) and/or advanced database programs.5. Adaptive Control or Triad experience is a plus.
