Senior Credit Analyst – Commodity Finance

Our client, a major European Bank located in New York City, is seeking a Senior Credit Officer to join their Commodity Finance group. The group’s core focus in Energy (Oil/Gas), Metals (non-ferrous), Grains, Sugar and Coffee. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing commodities companies to determine credit worthiness. Strong credit analytical skills and prior financial statement analysis experience is required.

Major Responsibilities:
Perform in dept credit analysis / financial statement analysis and determining the risk involved in the bank’s commodity finance transactions

Complete market and historical analysis, keeping abreast with the soft commodity markets
Research the companies’ income growth as part of the analysis
Complete credit applications, credit write ups and summaries to present to credit committee for approval

Perform cash flow projections and financial modeling
Meet with clients to understand the structure of their business and needsJob Requirements
4 + years credit analysis / corporate lending experience including commodities business – structured commodity finance
Strong credit analysis skills including financial modeling, cash flow projection skills and financial statement analysis

Team oriented individual with excellent communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree required – preferably in Finance of Business Administration

Formal Credit Training a plus.


Compensation will include base salary to $100-150K range, plus bonus.
