Senior Client Advisor

The Sr Client Advisor is the accomplished wealth management sales expert responsible for prospecting, acquiring new client relationships, and growing key client relationships. The focus of this position is to acquire new, high revenue clients for PNC Advisors and increase revenue from existing clients generating new sales revenue for PNC Advisors. Following prescribed Client Experience protocols, Sr Client Advisors are expected to work with appropriate client relationship team members (e.g. Investment Advisors, Trust Advisors, Banking Advisors, Wealth Planners) to yield increased client satisfaction, strengthened client commitment, enhanced client retention and additional revenue for PNC Advisors. The Sr Client Advisor observes all PNC policies and procedures, adheres to required risk management and compliance priorities, and completes requisite training.

Sales & Prospecting (Client Acquisition & Growth)
Develops external referral sources/networks to prospect for new clients, screens/profiles to
determine prospect interest and uncover opportunities, and successfully leads discussion to
close business (new client revenue) for PNC Advisors.
Works with client relationship team members to uncover opportunities to expand existing client
relationships; successfully executes strategies to close additional business with clients
(increase client revenue).
As assigned, develops internal referral Line of Business strategies and calling effort leading
to introduction of qualified candidates for Advisors' business.
Successfully presents ideas/strategies/solutions to centers of influence, qualified prospects and
identified opportunities for growth (existing clients) resulting in target closed business for
Advisors as well as other PNC lines of business.
Achieves sales revenue goals while consistently meets revenue production standards.
Manages process of new client acclimation to ensure stabilization of new client relationships.
Effectively tracks calling/meeting activity, accurately maintains pipeline of opportunities, captures
and reports closed business.
Obtains referrals/introductions from satisfied clients.

Client Retention
Adheres to Client Experience communication, meeting and relationship review protocols to help
grow and maintain client relationships.
Identifies and coordinates appropriate team of experts for managing client relationships.
Educates clients and provides on-going, timely information on topics of interest, particularly
investment and planning strategies.
Participates with team members to conduct annual relationship reviews with clients.
Assists with completion of client assessment relationship reviews to uncover additional
opportunity and encourage client retention/satisfaction.
Targets client relationships with higher revenue growth opportunity to build strategies for
additional business and/or focuses on more complex, high revenue relationships to ensure
client satisfaction and preservation of existing revenue.

Serves as key resource/mentor and functional expert to associate client advisor and client
advisor level employees.
Job Requirements
Education / Training: BS/BA with emphasis in Business Administration, Finance, Economics strongly preferred. Advanced college degrees (i.e. MBA) preferred, Professional Certifications (i.e. CPA, CFP, CTFA, CFA), and successful completion of securities related registrations (i.e. Series 6, 63, 66) also strongly recommended (Series 7 strongly preferred).

Experience: Generally acquired through ten or more years sales/client service experience preferably in financial services industry.

Skills And Abilities:

High level of sales activity, organizational and interpersonal business savvy, and
functional/technical expertise (e.g. investment strategy, financial and estate planning).
Ability to generate leads, prospect for opportunities, network for introductions.
Probing/Profiling Ability.
Consultative Sales Approach.
Highly effective Presentation and Interpersonal Communication of ideas, strategies, solutions
(client discussion, small groups, large groups).
Highly developed knowledge of financial markets, wealth management strategies.
Ability to lead, command respect, demonstrate integrity, build team of experts, coordinate
complex client strategies, establish trust and credibility.
Self-starter, action-oriented, resourceful, not afraid to take risks, driven to achieve results/goals.
Organized, disciplined, well planned sales process.
Knowledge of client contact standards, client relationship review and assessment protocols.
Appropriate working knowledge of necessary technology and tools (e.g. intranet, lotus notes,
SMART, CO-Pilot, etc.).
