Senior Business Analyst and Manager
Position manages the business activities of Multifamily Mortgage Servicing Operations. Performs transaction processing and servicing related production activities for the a multifamily mortgage portfolio. Responsibilities include the processing as well as overview of monthly lender reporting, collecting data on new transactions, calculating payoffs, remitting, cash allocation, reconciliation, and journal entries. Position ensures business and transaction activities comply with accounting and controls standards, and are processed accurately and timely. This role is responsible for managing the complexities and nonstandard features associated with the Multifamily mortgage products, the systems, and the rapid pace of change. Utilizes management information systems to monitor and improve processes. This role is critical to ensuring the ongoing management and improvement in lender performance, process performance, and operational risk management.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in commercial loan accounting, or multifamily real estate, loan servicing, related field, or equivalent work experience.
Two years experience in loan servicing or commercial real estate finance.
Minimum two years experience in high volume transaction processing management and/or customer relationship management in the financial services industry.
Experience managing large, complex, and multiple customer relationships.
Knowledge and understanding of the mortgage industry, secondary mortgage activities. Experience with multifamily products and services preferred.
Demonstrated solid understanding of financial and accounting regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley. Familiarity with legal and regulatory compliance standards. Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring effectiveness of controls. Proven knowledge of accounting practices, controls, and reconciliation.
Demonstrated experience as a manager and leader of people.
Effective interpersonal skills as well as oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Able to represent the department and Multifamily with internal partners and external customers.
Proficiency using Microsoft (Excel, Power Point, Access, Word, Windows NT) desktop products. Knowledge of commercial servicing systems is a plus.
Strong analytical skill, including ability to identify and resolve reporting, process, accounting, and control issues. Able to evaluate processes for effectiveness and control. Able to use MIS, accounting and process flows to manage and control operations and achieve improved business results. Assists in the design of new processes and in the implementations of changes in the business environment.
