Senior Business Analyst summary:

We are currently working with a prominent financial client in Jersey City who is looking for a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring the end to end trade processing solutions within the global trade processing platform. This role may include relationship management with internal and external parties, business requirements development, gap analysis, and solution strategy determination in line with the strategic goals of the Transaction banking Trade business. This role includes championing change to align processes and achieve global standardization and establish the model for the future architecture.

Senior Business Analyst is responsible for:
Defining should be state for GTP as it relates to process and technologies.
Determining viability of current capabilities and identifying needs and requirements of future architecture.
Providing experience and knowledge based expertise for gap analysis, operational readiness, design review, technical design and change analysis for enhancements, new products, insourcing, alternative processes, new modules for GTP as needed.
Evaluating vendor and IT solutions in line with the strategic goals of Transaction banking Trade business.
Managing global team of IT partners and other stakeholders to drive the implementation.
Establishing global process standards to maximize GTP deployment.
Communicating functional requirements and resolve cross regional issues.
Performing process analysis to compare requirements to system capabilities.
Identifying opportunities and translating them into business
opportunities.
Determining user’s vision and market wishes to define strategic direction in line with global standardization goals.
Providing inputs to training programs to support new functionality deployment for high profile and sophisticated changes.
Charting of Account Analysis to drive requirements/design stream and to identify challenging issues early in the analysis process and to establish “should be state” that future architecture requires.
Performing impact analysis, using IT to quantify consequences of modifications to business processes or products in terms of time, money and risk.
Advising management regarding improvements to products & processes, organization.
Participating in release management via prioritization, decisions and quality focus.
Coordinating and supplementing junior resource preparation of new product and/or associated procedures to provide to users.
Managing relationships with stakeholders and IT.
Coordinating and representing GTP Business as it relates to audits regarding business process/GTP.
Validating and enhancing BTC’s by providing managerial, consulting and task oriented skills to other groups and analysts as required to meet Transaction Banking goals.

Minimum 4 year post high school degree and practical knowledge of Microsoft suite – Word and Excel minimum.
Minimum 8 years of business analyst experience, knowledge of trade and finance and practical understanding of trade products, their applications.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Proficient in information gathering and analyzing business
requirements.
Experience writing functional specifications and contributing to design documents.
