Senior Analyst, Member Retirement Services

Orange County Teacher's Federal Credit Union is one of the country's largest and most respected financial services companies. We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst in Member Retirement Services. The successful teammember will assist in retirement product enhancements and interacts with the educational and School District payroll offices. Ensures the delivery of superior Member service and products to the educational community and OCTFCU teammembers. Responsible for assisting Members with all retirement products including Individual Retirement Accounts, Deferred Compensation Plans (457), State Teachers Retirement System, PERS, and 403b plans. Maintain up to date information regarding the regulatory changes.Responds promptly to Member telephone inquiries regarding any retirement products including but not limited to Individual Retirement Accounts, Deferred Compensation Plans, and Tax Sheltered Annuities, State Teachers Retirement System, Public Employees Retirement System, etc.
Responds to inquiries and requests from school district payroll offices, facilitating enrollment in retirement plans. Responds to outside agents regarding enrollment paperwork submission.
Maintains an up to date understanding of laws, IRS Rules and Regulations governing retirement plans; including dissemination of this knowledge and information.
Responds to telephone and written inquiries, researches problems, and provides information to requesting party. Handles the complex and non-routine inquiries by branches/ departments and Members.
Act as liaison with our Third Party Administrator, design and maintain reporting for the 457/403b plan compliance.
Maintains records and files, researches fees, tax statement problems and corrects appropriate forms. Researches all mandatory distributions on new and existing plans inclusive of setting up, accuracy, analysis, maintenance and compliance.
Ensures all systems are audited and refined on a regular basis to ensure our infrastructure changes as we grow in the retirement plans.
Provides technical guidance to branch/departments, school districts on retirement products; monitors regulatory and policy changes and takes appropriate action to ensure compliance with outside regulators. Analyzes and makes recommendations as to any changes, updates in regulations, forms, methods and systems and directs the implementation. Cross-train to ensure a backup in all functions of this position.
Oversees the compliance of credit union retirement plan accounts; researches fees, tax statement problems and corrects appropriate forms (e.g., 1099R, 5498); researches all mandatory distributions on new and existing plans inclusive of setting up, accuracy, analysis, maintenance and compliance; handles the complex and non-routine inquiries by the branches/departments and Members.
Maintains thorough knowledge of retirement products including but not limited to, all IRA products, 457(b), 403(b), State Teachers Retirement and Public Employees Retirement System. Maintains IRA Certifications.
