Securities Analyst - MBS

Through its Maryland offices, Wells Fargo Bank is The Premier Provider of Corporate Trust Services to the Mortgage Backed Securities Market. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill a Securities Analyst position. The successful candidate for this position will work independently or with team members and/or clients to resolve operational issues, ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, and ensure compliance with all internal operational guidelines and procedures.Specifically, the Securities Analyst will participate in the monthly bond process with functions to include: Verification of collateral data. Calculating principal and interest distributions to security holders. Allocating credit losses to securities as appropriate. Calculating credit enhancement amounts. Calculating administration fees and expenses. Preparing security payment instructions for the trustee. Preparing and distributing consolidated collateral and security information reports to the trustee.On a monthly basis, the Analyst will also be responsible for the monthly loan accounting process which will include: Parallel processing of monthly loan payments on assigned pools of loans and reconciliation of the results to the Servicers, according to departmental procedures. Ensuring servicer reports are accurate and complete for each respective cycle and communicate any changes to the appropriate party, as applicable. Researching and interpreting all controlling legal documents to help resolve issues, with guidance as needed. Resolving operational or process exceptions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrated aptitude to effectively lead/manage multifaceted projects. Also the completion of all assigned projects within specified time frames. Proven ability to recognize inefficiencies or control weaknesses in processes and/or systems and offer improvement solutions.The analyst position is also responsible for trust production to include: researching and interpreting all controlling legal document to help resolve issues, with guidance as needed; Resolving operational or process exceptions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Ensuring that all cash obligations are reported and remitted timely and accurately. Ensure receipt of certifications and monitoring of reports in accordance with SOP. Complete Trust document review checklist, Account Control setup and Bond transfers in a timely manner. Research and interpret controlling legal documents to resolve trust issues.Submit resume online at
