SALES TRAINEE

Tire Distribution Systems, Inc., one of the nation’s largest full service tire companies, specializing in supplying service, retreading and new tires for commercial applications, such as trucking, construction and mining industries, has an immediate opportunity for a Sales Trainee in the Auburn, WA area. The successful applicant should expect to be in training for up to one year. Tire Distribution Systems, Inc. (TDS, Inc.) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bandag, Inc. a global manufacturer of retreading equipment and tread application products.

During the training period, job duties will include, but not limited to; working with established sales personnel by surveying truck and heavy equipment tires (may require working outside normal business hours), support National Account customers (bond), assist sales people in preparing findings and sales proposals to prospective customers, deliver tires and related products, handle telephone inquiries and ultimately assists customers with their needs. The trainee will be evaluated by their manager on their reliability, punctuality, attitude, ability to work with other employees and assisting customers.

The trainee will be expected to attend all pertinent sales meetings and required training. There will be training available from Bandag, Inc., from other major tire manufacturers and local in-house programs.

At the successful completion of training period, the trainee will be assigned to a full-time sales position in the above listed areas. Those interested in pursuing a career path beyond sales, may work towards a store or region manager opportunity, following a successful sales record.
REQUIREMENTS
SALES TRAINEE

Qualifications, the successful candidate must possess the following:
•Associate degree
•Strong interest in direct or consultative selling.
•High energy level and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
•Possesses excellent employee/customer relations skills.
•Strong self starter, with a high level of motivation
•Must possess organizational skills.
•Capable of handling truck tires up to 125 lbs.
