SVP, Loss Mitigation

Senior Vice President, Loss MitigationIn this collections role, this position is relied on to mitigate losses for the company by providing specialized servicing efforts on troubled loans.Primary Responsibilities Include:

Providing leadership, creativity and direction to the Loss Mitigation area.

Overseeing the daily performance, tactical/strategic planning and implementation of the Loss Mitigation Division.

Working cross-functionally with other Loan Administration senior management and staff to implement improvements and to achieve Divisional business objectives.

Planning future system development.

Reviewing financial performance.

Providing updates for the senior management team.

Hiring, training, coaching and counseling staff; providing performance appraisals; and performing personnel planning.A successful candidate will have:

College degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Finance or related area.

5-10 years experience in the mortgage business, with an emphasis on the integration of different functional aspects of the business (those supporting the customer contact division).

5+ years experience in managing large staff groups (50+ exempt and non-exempt employees).

5+ years experience with a large call centers and with the use of technology to support these call centers.

Excellent working knowledge of the Mortgage Lending business.

Excellent working knowledge of the IT function with regard to customer service and loss mitigation (data and phone systems).

Knowledge of the latest computer systems, and the use of current software tools such as spreadsheets and databases.

Working knowledge of how automation can be applied to high-volume loss mitigation and transaction processing activities.
