SENIOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

CONTROLLER for a Fortune 500 electric utility firm.
* Tariff issues with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
* Establish overall financial policy and goals for the energy distribution Group.
* Develop and maintain planning and budget systems
* Analyze and interpret trends
* Prepare management reports and procedures
* Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
* Ratemaking analysis.
* Duties also include the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings.
REQUIREMENTS
* A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
* A CPA is desirable.
* Ten to fifteen years of related experience, especially in the energy industry
* Solid ratemaking knowledge
* Strong oral and written communications skills.
* Strong decision making skills
* Negotiation skills
* Experience in at least three of the following are required: Accounting, Regulatory/Revenue Requirements, Budget/Financial Forecasting, Billing/Contract Administration.
* Individual must have a thorough knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Security and Exchange Commission.
* Candidate must be able to work for any employer in U.S.
