SBA - Loan Closing Coordinator

Team: Loan SupportNature & Scope: This position supports the Real Estate Team by facilitating the loan closing process for HOA loans, Cooperatives and commercial real estate loans from beginning to end. This position will also monitor construction loans/disbursements.Responsibilities Include: 1. Facilitate the loan closing process for SBA 7A and 504 loans by effective communications with loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, attorneys etc. Ensure all preclosing conditions have been met, (which include evidence of cash injection, payment of guaranty fees, etc.), and are in accordance with SBA guidelines and Loan approval.
40%2. Monitor the disbursement and use of funds during the construction period. Must adhere to SBA guidelines. Work closely with outside engineering firm to obtain approval on construction draw requests.
25%3. Diligently pursue receipt of post closing items, to include necessary approvals, etc.
20%4. Set up loan files in accordance with Bank/SBA guidelines and interact with Account Managers to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities from closing to servicing.
10%5. Maintain updates on SBA guidelines/policies by attending SBA seminars, classes etc.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role will possess an undergraduate degree and 3-5 years of SBA loan closing experience. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, McCracken, Fee Tracking, Covenant Tracking, Lotus Notes, and HP financial calculator.Candidates should have knowledge of basic accounting and real estate, have the ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Candidates must possess the ability to interact with customers and co-workers effectively and possess an eye for detail.
