Risk Management Officer
The incumbent’s primary responsibilities are focused on enhancing the grain and livestock segment of AgStar’s portfolio by promoting and marketing sound risk management products and services. This includes building, maintaining, and sharing his / her expertise in crop insurance and livestock products / services and grain marketing; developing and implementing key sales tools and presentations; training and mentoring internal team members; and marketing directly to significant grain clients.

The incumbent must have the ability to combine his / her risk management and financial expertise in order to provide innovative and workable alternatives and solutions to meet the client’s goals. Works with Service Center Manager to identify prospective agencies.

Job location is Rochester, MN or Northfield, MN
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in business, agriculture, or related field required.
Minimum of three years experience in crop insurance, grain marketing, or equivalent related experience.
The incumbent must have advanced knowledge of crop insurance, grain marketing, finance, macroeconomics, and an understanding of, and ability to use, various computer business / financial applications.
The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, problem solving, analytical, and negotiating skills.
In addition, this position will be working in a team environment. As a result, the incumbent must demonstrate effective team building and team processing skills.
