Revenue Assurance Specialist II

Position Description: Major Responsibilities: This individual will be an audit analyst on the Revenue Assurance team with the core objective being to ensure maximum revenue optimization and cost controls. Through the establishment and maintenance of audits, introduction of controls, root-cause analysis and exception based clean-up activities, the ideal candidate would look to enhance the overall quality, integrity, efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of revenue and customer impacting data, billing data, invoices and/or business systems. Responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to the analysis of data, partnering with customer facing groups on clean-up efforts, the provision of quality assurance insights, the reporting of results on all activities undertaken, troubleshooting and the setting of and subsequent meeting of deadlines. Daily activities may include, but aren't limited to the analysis of audit results with the corresponding drive for sustainable resolution of complex, cross-functional, customer impacting data, as well as, customer and business system issues throughout Sprint Nextel. Partner with system users to define business requirements. Identify and research revenue issues that cause anomalies on invoices and potential revenue loss or increased costs. Effectively capture and report on all critical metrics to the team and management.

Minimum Qualifications:
(Job related skills, experience, and education): This job requires exceptional analytical skills, incredible attention to detail, strong communication skills, independent thinking and the ability to brainstorm with others, and superior organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to exercise good judgment is a must. Experience with large data discrepancy projects is helpful. A Bachelors degree in business, information systems, or related field preferred. Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel and MS Access skills are a must. Background in Telecommunications industry strongly preferred. Business Objects and SQL experience a plus.
