Resolution Underwriters (Mortgage)

Responsible for the Underwriting component of the new GEM operating model. This includes high level authority and use of broad judgment when determining underwriting decisions. Responsible for related underwriting performance metrics.•Uses highly developed analytical skills to enhance the Option One customer experience by solving complex problems and making sound business recommendations as relates to underwriting actions and decisions
•Determines solutions to complex loan challenges throughout application of a predetermined-wide underwriting authority level
•Appropriately identifies and escalates pertinent issues to internal and external customers and vendor partners
•Maintains excellent working relationships with the offshore team and vendors
REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum of five (5) years experience in guideline-oriented non-prime underwriting of consumer or residential loans of moderate or higher level complexity
•Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of Associates and management, as well as with external customers, offshore partners and outside vendors
•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
•Thorough understanding of state-specific rules and their application to key position accountabilities
•Possesses thorough knowledge of all OOMC products, programs, guidelines, and procedures
