Regional Compliance Officer

Develop, implement, and monitor the maintenance of a regional compliance program designed to ensure that each functional area of the bank achieves and maintains compliance with all applicable banking laws, regulations, and safety and soundness requirements. Perform periodic tests of transactions and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the compliance program.

1. Conduct training sessions with bank management and staff on regulatory requirements to ensure the region is in compliance and that all staff actions will reflect positively on the bank's fair lending policy.
2. Compile information, perform testing, and prepare compliance reports required by management and regulatory agencies to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Disseminate information from regulatory agencies and the holding company to ensure personnel are aware of changes in federal regulations and Loan Policy. Respond to management and employee questions and/or problems concerning regulations.
4. Attend work on a regular basis, on time, and withstand varying degrees of stress.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Three to five years banking experience including teller/branch operations; thorough knowledge of the deposit laws and regulations from regulatory agencies and the policies and procedures of the holding company. Valid state driver's license, proof of insurance, and available transportation.

Ability to travel to all locations within the region. Excellent communication skills necessary to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all regional management and personnel. Ability to communicate effectively through presentations and individual discussions with managers and employees. Strong organizational skills needed to handle the coordination of multiple priorities and locations.
