The alternative investments divisional specialist acts as a field liaison between the Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management national sales organization and the Alternative Investments Group. The job scope consists of approximately 80% travel to branch offices, the remainder being spent in the office on planning and follow-up. The specialist will focus on training and educating Financial Advisors and Investment Representatives through branch meetings and individual contacts. He/she will also be expected to actively participate in client situations. The position also requires providing daily direction to an Internal Sales Consultant.

Broad understanding of the financial markets

Strong knowledge of alternative investments (hedge funds, HFoFs, private equity, managed futures, real estate and exchange funds)

Working knowledge of asset allocation and principles of portfolio diversification

Extensive travel required across portions of the countrySkills Required

Undergraduate degree required; master's degree preferred

Series 7 and 3 required; others optional

Excellent communication and presentation skillsSkills Desired
