Project Finance VP-Asset Backed & Structured Lease Financing

Our client, a major International Bank with offices in New York City, seeks a Project Finance Vice President for their Structured Finance Group.
This individual will have at least five years’ experience as a project finance officer at a major commercial bank. The ideal candidate will possess excellent credit skills analyzing structured finance transactions, with an emphasis on asset based lease financing for the aviation and shipping industries. The bank is offering a starting salary up to $120K plus a bonus.Major Responsibilities:
•Analyze credit worthiness of borrowers – assessing credit profiles, reviewing competitiveness, market and industry risk, and other relevant economic factors•Evaluate strength and structure of contracts, and liaise with other divisions/colleagues who are parties to the transactions•Prepare recommendations to approve/decline loans based on appropriateness of proposed commitments and hold levels
•Continually monitor loan portfolio to track performance of transactions – recommending changes in terms if there is sign of elevated risk, or change in market or industry factors
•Work closely with team management to monitor lease transactions, loan syndications (underwriting) and credit risk transactionsJob Requirements
•5 + years’ experience as a Project Finance Credit Officer at a major commercial bank
•Experience in asset backed lease financing for the aviation and shipping industries
•Excellent knowledge of asset securitization and structured finance transactions
•Excellent credit skills – formal bank credit training preferred
•Strong written and oral presentation skills
•BA/BS, in Business or Finance, MBA a plus
