Product Manager , customer implementation

Major Accountabilities:General Description of Position:
Manage successful customer implementation of new and existing products including consumer credit, debit, commercial, and advanced payments. The role includes overall project management of all facets of the product/service implementation (both, business & technical) exercise working cooperatively with numerous internal functions to provide a central contact for our customer. The role communicates directly with clients and Sales teams on a regular basis including leading program kick off meetings, regular project calls, participating in quarterly review meetings and annual planning meetings. Ability to apply tactical knowledge of program capabilities and best in class practices to ensure accurate and timely product implementation. Accountabilities:

1. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with partner organizations (Product Development, Sales Specialists, Global Technology Organization and Client) to set priorities, understand sales pipeline and manage implementation executions.

2. Participate in the sales process, interfacing with the Member Teams, Product Sales Specialists, Product Management, Systems and Operations groups to understand client requirements and successfully deploy Product, Systems and Operations solutions.

3. Provide Subject Matter Expertise during member discussions and support the Sales and Consulting teams during sales and pre-launch activities. Conduct all new client and new program implementation kick-off meetings. This includes travel to client sites to make presentations and facilitate project discussions.

4. Install and continuously evaluate project management methodologies utilized by team

5. Build and execute performance evaluation tools to ensure both individual and overall team performance meet MasterCard standards of 'Execution with Excellence'

.6. Lead technical, program implementation and solutions brainstorming with Member Teams, Product and Client.

7. Direct all client communications regarding each implementation.Key Interdependencies' The incumbent will need to work closely with all region Segment Leaders, Member Relations teams, Product Development staff and Product Sales Specialists, Technology Account Management representatives and technical GTO staff, and (as appropriate) other corporate function managers and support personnel to ensure effective implementation of all key accountabilities.' Minimum 5+ Bankcard / merchant / acquirer industry experience required' Solid project management, problem solving and planning skills required' Ability to manage multiple deployments concurrently and multi-task under pressure' Ability to build and maintain strong, positive working relationships essential' Solid written and verbal communications skills ' Ability to thrive in a team environment
REQUIREMENTS
Experience/Education:
Experience Required:Skills RequiredEducationBS Degree; exposure to finance, marketing, operations and general management principles.Basic Skills/ExperienceThe ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager with a demonstrated record of success in managing multiple projects with external and internal customers simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Moreover, the successful incumbent will have an in-depth knowledge of card businesses. Previous credit/debit/private label card marketing or related services experience preferred. 5+ years in the card related industry preferred. 8+ total years in the financial services industry preferred. Travel will be required.SupervisionGeneral direction; must be able to act independently.Special ConditionsIndividual must be competent to analyze business needs and develop a course of action that differentiates technical components from business components and organize a solution process that includes appropriate cross-organizational participation.
