Product Architect - AssetLink/DB

Production Engineer required to work as a Product Architect - AssetLink/DB in close collaboration with Product Manager
• Work with PM to determine cost of development
• Product specific competitive analysis with PM
• Technical trends

Define Functional Specs/Requirements for commercial and funded development projects based on:
• Market/customer requirements provided by PM (MRD)
• Vision/Strategy defined by PM
• Customer interaction on a detailed technical level
• C&S Practice input
• Prepare functional specs and use cases

Primary contact within marketing for Development team
• Usability clarification
• Validate & advise priorities for enhancements / bug fixes
• Define workflows and use cases
• Work resourcing issues with Program Managers
• Release scheduling liaising with PM on time to market
• Interaction with QM
• Outline documentation needs
• Define required training materials
• Validate design prototypes
• 3rd party technical integration coordination
• Cross-product peer coordination
• Cross-systems peer coordination

Provide technical content for sales/external communications
• Technical description for release materials (PDS)
• Customer presentations/meetings at request of PSM
• RFP/RFI support at request of PSM
• Provide technical training for Practice BDMs and support

Customer interaction and involvement
• Customer pilot projects/deployment (at request of PSM)
• CAB member as required
• Marketing team rep for on-going beta program meetings
• 3rd tier troubleshooting for new applications

Cross Systems Relationships
• Detailed workflow integration
• Oversee application architectural engagement
• Oversee consistent design & implementation with usability team

REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Petroleum/Production Engineering
5-10 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Experience in application or development of new technology within Oil & Gas domain.
Supervisor experience preferred.
Experience of Overseas working desirable
Experience within the Oil & Gas industry
High level of PC skills.
