Loan Assistant/Portfolio Manager (Winter Park, FL)

SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing administrative duties and clerical duties for the Area President. Oversee installment and small commercial lending needs for existing customers. Organize and complete special projects as needed. Perform acceptable job functions for the retention of our best, most valuable customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Management Functions:
•Coordinate all steps involved in booking a new loan for existing and new customers working closely with loan operations to ensure compliance with procedures.
•Maintain the customer loan portfolio once the loans are booked including collecting financial information and resolving problems as they arise for the customer
•Identify cross sell opportunities and needs assessment for the existing portfolio being serviced.
•Underwrite new installment loans for existing relationships to include calculation of debt to income ratio and credit scoring. Maintain a portfolio of smaller loans for new business customers. Past due management is required and should be proactive. In addition, the ‘matured loan list’ should be actively worked in advance to avoid past due situations from occurring
•Provide administrative and clerical support to the Area President in a professional and efficient manner to include: customer service, opening incoming mail, faxing, word-processing, and filing.
•Answer incoming customer calls and assist customers in lobby as needed.
•Communicate effectively with related parties via telephone regarding questions and customer service issues.
•Maintain an updated and accurate calendar for the Area President as well as schedule appointments and office meetings as requested.
•Establish and maintain a tickler file pertinent to the support of the Area President.
•Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school degree or GED.
Minimum of 3 Years Experience in customer service required.
Minimum of 3 Years loan documentation experience preferred.
