Personal Loan Consultant - Construction LendingThis position handles home loan inquiries from prospective borrowers. Emphasis will be on analyzing customer needs and advising borrowers on which of Countrywide's loan programs will best suit their needs, in addition to determining the borrower's ability to qualify by running a credit report and using information derived from the borrowers on income and assets. Key functions will include advising on property value using existing data and automated valuation tools, making an initial decision on whether the loan request will meet Countrywide's guidelines, and exercising independent judgment to effectively communicate complex criteria, guidelines and mortgage industry terms to a wide variety of customers. The chosen candidate will also be relied upon to stay current on guideline changes, processes improvements and procedural changes.Requirements:

2+ years mortgage sales experience, preferably in a call center environment.

Mortgage and residential financial services background.

Demonstrated experience with mortgage sales by telephone.

Advanced level of knowledge of mortgage loan origination, operations, mortgage products, the Internet, construction lending, and real estate transactions.

Thorough understanding of Fair Lending laws.

Strong PC skills (Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes).

Advanced level of interpersonal skills as well as verbal/written communication skills.

An ability to successfully sell in a highly automated fast-paced environment.Candidates must be flexible to work a 40-hour week between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm Monday – Friday.
