Performance/Quantitative AnalystJOB SUMMARY:Maintains performance composites in accordance with the appropriate industry and regulatory standards for all products supported by Managers. As time permits, assists the portfolio specialists in their efforts to provide research and analytics to assist in Managers’ product support effort.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Collects, calculates and maintains composite performance in accordance with GIPS standards.· Maintains and documents performance policies and procedures.· Assists in annual performance audits for composites maintained by Managers. · Stays current on changes/developments in AIMR-PPS/GIPS.· Creates reports and data extracts for use within the PAS department as well as for use by sales, marketing and client service personnel in completing RFPs, client questionnaires and third party questionnaires or data requests.· Responds to specific requests for data.
· Ensures all data files and reports on the internet and intranet are updated on a timely basis.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (as time permits)· Reviews, analyzes and creates monthly statistics, reports and summaries for the markets and PAS portfolios. · Provides analytics for product advocacy marketing pieces, write-ups and analyses.· Creates/maintains reports highlighting portfolio performance against benchmarks and competitors on various sponsor platforms. As skills increase, assists in drafting reports analyzing the reports just referenced.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Extensive knowledge of GIPS standards.
· Demonstrates knowledge of the Separately Managed Accounts and Mutual Fund industries.
· Detail oriented, meets deadlines and executes responsibilities with minimal errors.
· Identifies problems and suggests possible solutions.· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Excels in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment while meeting deadlines and executing responsibilities with minimal errors.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office demonstrating particular strength in Excel. Knowledge of FactSet, Mobius, PowerPoint and APL packages a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: · Bachelor’s degree in a business related major.
· Three years of investment-related research experience or equivalent.
· Experience, aptitude and dexterity with statistics and computer database and spreadsheet programs.· MBA or CFA (or progress towards either) a plus.Please submit resume to [Click here for email]
