Derivitives Operations ManagerA top Global Hedge Fund located in NYC.
A leading Global Hedge Fund is seeking a Manager for their OTC Derivatives team. This person will be responsible for setting up and managing a team responsible for confirmation, settlement and ongoing monitoring of OTC Derivative transactions between the firms funds and external counterparties. Our client currently transacts in Credit and Rates Derivatives, and expects to add Equity Derivatives in the near future. Responsibilities include:Managing a team of confirmation, settlement analystsImplement processes and procedures to efficiently confirm and settle OTC derivativesLiaise with Legal and DRCM on ISDA documentation and confirmation issuesLiaise with counterparties on settlement/confirm issuesIdentify and propose technology solutions to the process as they become availableAdvise portfolio managers on operational issues in OTC DerivativesSupport the Treasurer in the setting up of intermediary relationshipsLiaise with the Hedge Fund Administrator on open confirm/settlement issues

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have at least 5-8 years experience, preferably with 3 years OTC Derivative Operations experience. Bachelors degree is required. The candidate should possess strong communication skills, both verbally and written. Exposure to Hedge Funds preferable - either directly via employment or through interaction with them as a customer. Ability to work under extreme time pressure to meet crucial deadlines. Have demonstrated ability to analyze and improve process and the ability to lead a small team.
