Shft: DaysJob Description:Develop and monitor compliance with the Board-approved investment policy involving all Board designated investments which are structured to be in compliance with Medicare funded depreciation guidelines.Develop and monitor a cash receipt and daily cash management system founded with strong internal controls and banking relations to maximize earnings on cash reserves.Provide leadership in identifying alternative financing vehicles to maximize availability of cash. Coordinate necessary steps to effect successful attainment and closure of resources.Directs the process of selection and ongoing relationships with banking partners.Manages the monthly and annual accounting and audit work papers.Serves as liaison to investment program partners including (but not limited to) Catholic Health Initiatives, Wells Capital Management, Wells Custody, etc.Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience within accounting and finance areas, with at least three (3) years in a key management/leadership position. Diverse treasury and tax experience. Two (2) years with a larger, integrated healthcare system preferred.Education/Licensure
A Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting and CPA license required. CFA and/or CCM required.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must possess a strong knowledge of Financial Management and Accounting Theory and Practice; with a thorough knowledge of applicable laws, guidelines and professional standards; a keen understanding of hospital and other general healthcare operations. Must be able to work collaboratively with team members, demonstrate strategic thinking and communication skills, delegate outcome expectations, and create a positive tension to manage conflicts that may arise. In addition, must possess excellent management skills and good computer understanding and skills. Must demonstrate personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation and energy; personal honesty and integrity; and a demonstration of placing others in high value and treating them with dignity and respect.
