Note Department Manager

Napa Community Bank located in Napa, California, is currently looking for a Note Department Manager responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of Bank loans. The qualified candidate will respond to customers, loan officers, and loan processors regarding loan inquiries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides primary set up for new loan customers onto the Peerless system; enters new participation loans and renewals on the system.
Processes loan payments, loan draws, participation payments and advances.
Maintains record keeping for loan system, which may include balancing loan activity, preparing general ledger entries, verifying data entry, and correcting any errors or maintenance issues.
Quotes loan balances, payoffs and payment information to customers, lending officers and processors.
Responds and researches exceptions reported by loan officers/loan processors; responds to customer inquiries.
Responds to credit verifications and payoff requests.
May process charge-offs or non-accrual loans; maintains accurate records on non-accrual billed loans.
May maintain tickler system to ensure timely receipt of loan related documents.
Maintain record keeping for suspense/liabilities and bill paying.
Handles construction loan disbursements and monitors project completion.
May perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Exercises personnel authority with respect to daily supervision of Note Department Personnel.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists customers and Bank personnel with inquiries pertinent to loan documents

REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Equipment:
Demonstrated computer proficiency in software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and various mainframe systems such as Peerless and LaserPro.
Strong mathematical ability.
Ability to handle detail oriented transactions and work with minimum supervision.
Good communication and organizational skills in order to prioritize work to ensure timely processing of critical work.

Training/Preparation Required:
Experience in a Note Department of a commercial bank preferred.
Five to seven years experience in bank operations and/or lending area preferred.
