Ernst & Young’s National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national and multinational clients and is led by nationally recognized tax professionals who represent some of the firm’s most senior tax talent. Our National Tax Department’s Securitization and Asset Finance practice (SAF) focuses primarily on asset finance-related tax consulting. SAF provides tax advisory services relating to asset financing in connection with US domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, asset investments and dispositions and securitization and other asset finance transactions. Recently, Public/Private Partnerships have become a new area of focus for SAF as the demand for this expertise has grown. These transactions involve the private sector financing and operation of public sector infrastructure. We currently have a career opportunity for a Manager in this growing practice. As part of SAF, this individual can gain experience in transaction planning and implementation, research and analysis of fundamental tax issues and writing tax memoranda. Responsibilities Interact with firm professionals from multiple tax disciplines (e.g., partnerships, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, financial instruments, and international tax). Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations. Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business. Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments, and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations. Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products. Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery; keeping team members informed of work status; actively seeking assignments when unassigned; proactively seeking opportunities to provide tax services; challenging traditional procedures used in the past; and attempting to find new approaches. Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with quality, timely and responsive services and work products. Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts. Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. Pepare practical and effective approaches to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals. Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans and assist in making quality decisions in complex areas. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. JD, CPA or Enrolled Agent license is also required. LLM or other advance degree would be a plus. Minimum of six years of related business experiences. Tax transactional experience is required. Some domestic travel is required. Excedllent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must be able to interact with all levels of management. Qualifications: Qualifications: Bacheleor's degree required. JD, CPA or Enrolled Agent license required. Advanced degree would be a plus. Minimum of six years of related business experience.
