NOC Technician II

Employment Type: Regular Full/Part Time: Full Time Division: IT Location: Florence Data Center, Florence, KYGENERAL FUNCTION:
Under direct supervision, supports, maintains and troubleshoots bank communications network to ensure it is available to all users. Assists other technicians in testing and analyzing elements of the network. Resolves routine client questions and refers more complex issues to appropriate technical groups. The position is on the Technical Support ladder at level 2 in the NOC Support discipline.The position is 2nd shift.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains the network (both UNIX- and Windows- based) for operating issues involving failures, degradation and event correlation.
2. Takes corrective action to ensure connectivity and minimize downtime.
3. Assumes responsibility for testing and analyzing many basic elements of network infrastructure.
4. Performs network wiring installation tasks.
5. Assists with basic problem resolution for technical hardware communication issues, both network- and operating systems-based.
6. Provides detailed documentation and standard operating procedure manuals for maintenance activities (including online media).
7. Performs scheduled and emergency system maintenance.
8. Monitors and maintains network mainframe infrastructure, including IBM front end processors, mainframe and storage systems.

None Job RequirementsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Associates degree or equivalent.1-2 years of Technical experience. E.O.E., M/F/D/V
