Mortgage Loan Set-up

Position Summary

This position is a junior member of the loan processing staff. The Loan Set-Up employee will be responsible for completing data entry into the internal loan origination system and submitting completed files to underwriting. This position will work closely with internal departments including processing, underwriting and operations. The role would require knowledge of data entry and basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office. The Loan Set-Up person would be responsible for adherence to loan RESPA procedures. This individual will be highly customer service oriented and work closely with the operations staff to maintain a sense of urgency in daily production.


Essential Job Functions

•Input 8-10 new files per day into LOS system and distribute loans to underwriting.
•Maintain department turn-time standards.
•Incorporate a customer friendly atmosphere for both internal and external customers.
•Insure compliance with RESPA procedures.
•Generate up-front disclosure documents and send to clients.
•Interact with other departments in a professional manner in a team environment.
•Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements/Skills

•High School diploma or equivalent required.
•Minimum one year data entry/computer skills experience required- mortgage industry related.
•Ability to type 45 words per minute.
•Ability to work in a windows-based computer system.
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
•Demonstrated ability to function as a committed team player.
•Excellent customer service skills and ability to complete multiple tasks on schedule.
•Must possess good verbal communication skills.
