Merchant Sales Representative

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of previous industry experience with a proven track record of success in outside sales. The position is expected to develop new merchant service revenues through prospecting, referral, and payment solution selling activities throughout the state of Minnesota.

Responsibilities:
· Close sales and achieve weekly, monthly, & quarterly goals
· Communicate daily activities and progress via voice mail or email
· Generate & qualify leads through face-to-face cold calling as well as following up on warm leads
· Generate & qualify leads through phone-list cold calling & appointment setting
· Run company pre-set appointments on time and report activity for each appointment
· Conduct structured sales presentations and demonstrations
· Attend company training & participate in conference calls and web-training seminars
· Respond to questions in a timely fashion from merchants and businesses
· Keep informed of new products and services that may be of interest to businesses
REQUIREMENTS
Required experience:
· 1+ years outside sales experience, business to business preferred
· Experience in credit card processing industry a plus
· Able to initiate and manage a sales process
· Able to demonstrate a high level of oral, written, and presentation skill sets
· Demonstrate and provide a track record of strong closing capabilities
· Ability to illustrate your self-motivated, able to achieve goals and quotas
· Results Driven, well organized with strong follow-up skills
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and Internet usage
· Ethical & Honest
· Ability to independently develop and maintain networking & business relationships
· Detail oriented, able to complete paperwork neatly and accurately
· Exceptional problem solving and negotiating skills
· Strong time management skills
· Long-term career minded
