Margin / Cashiering Associate

Our client, a subsidiary of a large insurance company, is seeking a Margin / Cashiering Associate with 3 + years margin - cashiering / brokerage operations experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for liaising between the sales force and clearing agent and responding to requests from Sales such as balance inquiries, check requests and wiring funds.

Major Responsibilities:
•React to all requests that are received from the Sales Department such as wiring, check requests and balance inquiries.
•Liaise between Sales and the clearing agent regarding margin calls and Reg T extensions
•Notify Sales of all reorg instructions and processing tender instructions
•Review all new account documentation to ensure accuracy before submitting to clearing agent
•Deposit and forward all funds and securities to the clearing agent and all adjustments to the proper internal department
•Communicate with trading area to resolve trading discrepancies and make the proper adjustments needed
•Keep proper record of journal requests and wiring of fundsJob Requirements
•3+ years margin, brokerage operations reorg, and cashiering experience
•Superior telephone and communication skills required
•Prior bookkeeping and or accounting experience preferred
•Experience with Pershing systems
•Willingness to obtain Series 7, 24, 63, 65 or 66 licenses
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
