Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

Alliant Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the nation is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis who will lead and direct the planning, forecasting, analytical and reporting efforts for his/her assigned business units.

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will oversee the financial reporting systems and continues to automate and integrate redundant processes and reporting through standardization. It is a leadership position that proactively leads and facilitates resolutions in business situations including efforts on Enterprise Risk Management Process. The position will report to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Duties of the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will include:Lead the analysis of financial performance for business initiatives, special projects, new products, channels, etc. and partner with cross-functional peers to provide recommendations and action steps.
Collaborate with Controller group to ensure accuracy of the financial statements and provide analytical support in regards to results and trends.
Continuously improve and construct new capabilities around performance metric analysis and reporting to track key Alliant financial objectives and targets.
Manage a team of (2) finance professionals.
Responsible for interviewing and hiring, discipline and termination of staff.
Trains and coaches staff; conducts regular performance reviews.
Responsible for the integrity of the financial system, and to automate and simplify redundancy in processes and reporting through standardization.

REQUIREMENTS



Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
Minimal of 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a financial planning and analysis environment; with 5-7 years total in the finance and accounting arenas
Thorough knowledge of GAAP required
Financial Institution experience preferred
Extensive financial analysis skills required, including variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
Ability to multi-task and deal with heavy volume period with tight time parameters
Must be proficient with mainframe accounting system, database systems (ie. Business Object), Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Word.
