The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is actively recruiting for a Manager to provide leadership and direction to the Economic Education function, serving as an advocate for economic education. The Manager will foster understanding of the Federal Reserve System and its role in the economy through the development and delivery of economic education and financial literacy programs.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of economic theory, and a minimum of two years of teaching experience to include the creation and delivery of classroom curricula. A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships and rapport with a broad range of constituencies, including educators and students is also required.


Essential Job Responsibilities

•Collaborates with the Research, Community Affairs and branch office functions to coordinate and conduct activities and outreach programs that support the Bank’s regional presence initiative.
•Builds and maintains relationships with other economic and financial education organizations, community groups, and the District’s education community.
•Serves on System workgroups to influence economic education initiatives on a national level.
•Researches and develops innovative techniques and media for delivering information about the Federal Reserve and other economic education topics.
•Supervises and provides leadership to 2-3 individuals responsible for developing and delivering economic education programs.
•Models competencies necessary for successful performance, and cultivates a work environment that embraces and executes continuous learning and improvement.
•Works collaboratively with function senior management to set strategic direction by providing key technical and environmental input to the process.
•Hosts economic education meetings, workshops, and other functions.
REQUIREMENTS
•Strong oral and written communication skills to articulate and build support for complex ideas and communicate effectively with consumer groups, educators, students, and all levels of Bank staff.
•Proven ability to facilitate a collaborative decision-making process, develop staff, and deliver feedback and coaching in a constructive and supportive manner.
•Ability to deal effectively with and lead others through the process of change.
•Strong planning and organizing skills to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
•Experience in designing educational materials utilizing computer learning techniques and resources.
•Strong presentation and group facilitation skills.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred.
•A graduate degree in a related field is preferred.
