Mainframe Infrastructure Analyst

The Mainframe Infrastructure Analyst is involved
in tracking, measuring and ensuring the seamless
availability of the mainframe infrastructure
environment. This includes maintaining the
ongoing vendor relationship, proactive capacity
planning as well as providing technical expertise
in managing the use and on-going configuration of
the mainframe environment.
•Compile and produce weekly and monthly capacity
and system health reports
•Daily management and monitoring of mainframe
usage
•Assimilate, monitor and communicate system
utilization data provided by the infrastructure
provider.
•Facilitating mainframe performance problem
resolution, which may include hands on
troubleshooting
•Proactive review of mainframe usage trends to
assist development in optimization
•Coordinate and facilitate the ongoing use of
mainframe development tools for
optimization
•Interact with project development and support
staff to provide guidance around best mainframe
practices
•Act as liaison between application and
mainframe infrastructure providers
REQUIREMENTS
Required skills are:
1 MVS
2 DB2
3 VSAM
4 CICS
5 UNIX

• Minimum of 8-12 years related experience with
emphasis in mainframe system analysis, capacity
planning.
•Bachelor of Science or equivalent work
experience
•Significant hands on experience as a systems
programmer in Information Technology with an in
depth knowledge of MVS, VSAM, CICS, DB2 mainframe
environments.
•In depth knowledge of Unix and JDBC.
