MORTGAGE CONSULTANT

MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE!!Responsible for soliciting residential mortgages from various sources including realtors, builders, financial professionals, past customers and other nontraditional sources. Produces high quality loans which meet WFHM guidelines while providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong sales and marketing skills, as well as excellent communication skills and detailed follow through. A Home Mortgage Consultant needs to be organized, aggressive, and be able to deal with strict timelines. This includes the ability to read and understand credit reports, understand underwriting policies, and comprehend loan-pricing grids. A Home Mortgage Consultant will successfully utilize sales tools provided by the company such as High Trust Sales and Marketing, ACT Database Management, and Retention to build a book of referral business. A Home Mortgage Consultant must be available to assist borrowers on evenings and weekends. Works or is comfortable with centralized processing. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and/or required.
Minimum Qualifications


* Minimum Qualifications: High School education with 2 years sales or mortgage experience and/or equivalent education or related experience.
Proven sales and negotiation experience with the ability to meet production standards established by region or branch.
Ability to meet strict deadlines; ability to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate programs, loan terms, features, policies, and benefits to customers and business partners.
PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite including the ability to use database marketing.
Excellent customer service skills with the availability to assist customers on evenings and weekends.
* Preferred Skills: 3+ years outside sales experience/or mortgage origination experience; including a track record at developing relationships from referral sources; i.e. Real Estate professionals, builders, networking groups, professional associations, and financial professionals.
Proven track record of $12-15M per year in sales.
Bi-lingual language skills a plus.
Experience with real estate appraisals, title reports and real estate transactions.
