Job Summary (General Purpose of the Position):

Successful candidate will be responsible for clearance of suspense items with various investors within required time frame. Candidate must be able to identify the source necessary to obtain the missing documents. We are in search of a strong communicator who is organized and is comfortable with work that demands attention to detail and accuracy. Candidate must have excessive knowledge of all mortgage documents and underwriting/processing knowledge. Must be able to work efficiently under time pressure, adapt to changes in the pace of work, and comfortable with an evolving job role.

Major Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

•Review investor suspense report and submit conditions to the Investor prior to trade deadline.
•Request and obtain missing documentation from the necessary sources and deliver to the investor via email and or facsimile.
•Daily communication and interaction with internal sources such as retail branch personnel, wholesale and correspondent contacts, AHM departmental contacts (servicing, compliance, Homegate appraisal, collateral) to request assistance in remedying loan stipulations and to obtain missing and or corrected documentation.
•Daily communication and interaction with external sources such as title companies, closing agents, settlement agents, insurance companies, appraisers and borrowers and all other entities associated with obtaining missing and or corrected documentation.
•Utilize papervision to obtain documents.
•Utilize excel/hud folder to obtain documents.
•Responsible for the delivery of the trailing documents to the imaging center.
•Responsible to formulate solutions on curing problem loans.
•Elevate possible rejects to immediate supervisor.
•Responsible for resolving suspense’s related to guideline, credit, legal, appraisal and compliance issues.
•Responsible for verification that suspense items were cleared by the investor.
•Knowledge of AHM guidelines.
•Validate APR and high cost exceptions.
•Re-underwrite loans to appeal investor decisions.
•Validate data discrepancies and make all necessary corrections.
•Organize and maintain pipeline report with current status on each loan.
•Input daily loan status.
•Responsible for updating daily trade status sheets.
•Must meet accuracy bench mark.
•Must meet daily production standard.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills, Abilities and Qualifications Required:

Education and Experience Required:
4+ Years experience in Mortgage Banking Lending
Knowledge of processing/underwriting a must
High School Diploma or equivalent
