Responsible for monitoring and maintaining Collection Department workflow to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.

1. Monitors all standard collection procedures according to MLN policy to minimize loan delinquencies.

2. Trains/motivates loan counselors in all phases of collection work to ensure maximum efficiency/productivity.

3. Provides ongoing performance feedback to employees and conducts annual performance evaluations according to established guidelines.

4. Monitors/reviews assigned delinquent accounts.

5. Receives/analyzes incoming calls from delinquent customers and recommends appropriate action to minimize borrower and investor losses.

6. Requests and reviews daily delinquency report to determine course of action to minimize loan delinquency.

7. Resolves customer complaints referred by loan counselors.

8. Prepares work schedule and assigns duties to loan counseling personnel to ensure efficient operation of Department.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school graduate

Experience/Training:
Three to five years collection experience with a mortgage banking or related financial institution; previous supervisory experience

Skills:
Leadership skills, courteous, tactful and assertive interpersonal communication skills; problem-solving skills; good written communication skills; knowledge of debt collection
