As Loan Counseling Specialist, you will be responsible for counseling borrowers on best way to bring their loans to a current state through education of alternatives for resolution, as well as early identification of loss mitigation and credit counseling referrals in an effort to help the borrower to avoid any foreclosure action and to minimize risk exposure to the Company. This position is on our night shift working 12noon-9pm Monday-Thursday and 5pm-9pm on Sundays.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Customer contact on both inbound and outbound calls to service accounts up to 62 days delinquent. Determine the borrower’s reason for delinquency, and perform a thorough review of each account’s financial hardship. Determine financial capacity and commitment of each customer, educate customer on resolution alternatives and offer an optimal resolution path.
Research, problem analysis, customer follow-up and written correspondence.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Strong analytical skills
Ability to think strategically
Capable of formulating tactics based on overall strategy
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner across the organization
Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
Asset management and customer service focused
Demonstrated knowledge of all product lines, understanding of loss severity, and proven ability to identify Loss Mitigation opportunities
Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge and experience
Bilingual capability (English/Spanish) preferred
