Loan Coordinator I

POSITION SUMMARY: The Loan Coordinator (LC) I is responsible for initial set up and processing of a loan file. The LC I will communicate via telephone, email or in person with the Broker and/or internal staff. The LC I is responsible for the accuracy of the information and for auditing the loan file. The purpose of the LC I position is to provide timely and accurate processing on all complete loan submissions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Establish initial loan file
•Complete quality control audit on loan files, using the process flows and LC checklist as a guide•Maintain 1 hour turn times on processing full loan submissions
•Maintain 20 minute turn times on suspending incomplete loan packages or denying loans
•Maintain a minimum average of 8 files per day
•Frequently and as needed, communicate with Title and/or Escrow to obtain title closing information
•Prioritize daily processing based on reports or upon management request
•Maintain excellent levels of communication within the Loan Coordination Department ensuring consistent process flows, therefore improving service levels
•Other duties as requested
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•Prior mortgage industry or banking experience in conditions coordination, loan coordination, underwriting, or funding•Good computer skills and the ability to type 45+ words per minute
•Ability to work quickly and accurately•Skill in composing and producing professional correspondence
•Ability to read and analyze data
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
