Loan Analyst - WMC Mortgage Corporation
Business Unit: GE MoneyFunction: OperationsResponsibilities: ***TO APPLY IMMEDIATELY, PLEASE LOG ONTO www.wmccareers.com***Responsible for accurately reviewing more difficult loan file conditions and packages submitted by approved brokers. This position is also responsible for working with brokers as well as internal and external staff. The primary responsibilities of this position is to gather, review and approve more complex loan documentation submitted by brokers based on WMC's Credit Policy Guidelines.*Maintains comprehensive knowledge of WMC's loan programs, procedures, lending guidelines, and technological resources.
*Maintains professional, ethical, and courteous relationships with both external and internal customers.
*Reviews loan file conditions based on underwriting approval.
*Makes good business decisions based on validation of conditions, i.e., income calculations, appraisal and credit report.
*Verifies program and pricing with broker.
*Prepares loan files for submission to the Funding Department.
*Communicates effectively with brokers, title companies, escrow companies and attorneys regarding the status of loan files.
Works directly with their assigned BDRs on pipeline management.
Reviews Broker Demand prior to submitting loan to Funding.
Completes Section 32 forms accurately.
Works with brokers to provide alternative documentation effectively as needed.
Provides accurate information on internal Quality Control process forms.
Funds a minimum of 20 loan packages per month .
Knows and understands the file flow system within WMC.
Reviews all loan conditions within a 24-hour period from the received date.
Updates the Mortgage Flex system accordingly.~hj~

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *High school diploma or equivalent.
Required 6 months of Residential Underwriting/Processing experience.
Working knowledge of Mortgage Banking as it relates to the credit and funding processes in a sub-prime credit environment.
Excellent customer service skills
Above average verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to interact effectively with the underwriting, sales, and funding staff.
Above average software skills including e-mail, Internet, and MS Word.
Ability to assist in facilitating progressive change.
Above average planning and organizing skills.Desired: *Ideally two years of Residential Underwriting/Processing experience.
