Lending Policy Manager

Hours/Schedule: 8:00 AM -- 5:00 PM Description: Responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s lending policy-making activity. Contribute to the strategic direction of the company by formulating written loan policies that effectively support the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. Collaborate with business line leaders to research, develop, and author new and/or revised policies under the purview of Credit Policy and Administration. Assist in implementation and ensure that lending operational procedures are aligned with policies.Maintain a comprehensive corporate, web-based loan policy manual, which encompasses commercial, consumer, dealer floor plan, and residential mortgage lending policies and related resources. Devise tools, provide timely communications, and deliver training aimed at improving staff member knowledge of lending policies. Serve as the organization’s primary contact for lending policy questions and policy-related matters.Monitor policy exceptions and report findings to Credit Policy and lending group management. Actively participate in the company’s “Credit Forum” meetings to promote prudent lending practices. Serve as the section manager’s primary back-up on corporate compliance, BSA, and CRA committees. Participate in additional corporate policy-related initiatives as needed.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required (Master's preferred) in business, finance, economics or equivalent experience. At least seven years business experience in lending and/or credit administration, with an emphasis on policy development and implementation. Experience in commercial lending required, with additional experience in consumer (direct and indirect) and residential mortgage strongly preferred.Demonstrate a strong proficiency in the use of personal computers and software packages, such as Microsoft Office. Experience with web design, and proficiency with web-based applications such as Microsoft Front Page, strongly preferred. Excellent leadership competencies and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
